Advancing Partners & Communities (APC) is participating in this year’s American Public Health Association Annual Meeting from November 4 - November 8, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. This year’s theme is “Creating the Healthiest Nation: Climate Changes in Health.”
APC’s Project Director, Liz Creel, will present a poster on sustainable population, health, and environment (PHE). The poster will present information on integrating family planning and ongoing environment activities in Kenya’s Lake Victoria basin.
Title: Integrating family planning and ongoing environment activities in Lake Victoria Basin
What: APC tested a new PHE integration model to create a more sustainable approach than in traditional PHE programming. Implementation was conducted through a grant to the Nyanza Reproductive Health Society, a reproductive health and HIV non-governmental organization based in Western Kenya.
