Expanding Contraceptive Choice Webinar Series

The Advancing Partners & Communities project, in collaboration with Family Planning 2020, the Implementing Best Practices initiative and USAID’s Office of Population and Reproductive Health, is hosting a webinar series designed to share information about various family planning methods. Participants gain detailed knowledge about the methods, including how to use them and how they work and hear about global level and country implementation experiences and method-specific “hot topics.”

Objectives of Webinar Series

  1. Raise awareness and provide technical information on a range of contraceptive methods
  2. Highlight in-country and programmatic experiences, including challenges and successes
  3. Serve as a forum to answer questions and promote discussion about family planning methods
  4. Advance the principles of voluntarism and informed choice as fundamental components of high-quality family planning programs

The webinar explored how you can use these tools in your community-based programs or develop your own for the areas where you work. They also looked at how to develop, test, and translate tools that work for communities, and explored an example of a training curriculum developed for Islamic leaders. These lessons are applicable not just for family planning, but for all community-based programs.
