APC/Guyana Creates Four HIV-related Animated Public Service Announcements

Current methods for conveying HIV prevention and treatment information to people in Guyana who are at risk for HIV and hard to reach are insufficient. There are few communication materials, written or otherwise, to start conversations about HIV, much less help people understand how they can protect themselves from and live with it.
In response, APC/Guyana, with technical assistance from JSI, created four HIV-related animated public service announcements (PSA) especially for a Guyanese audience. The videos, which are also available for audio-only broadcasting, talk about the importance of getting tested; disclosing status and testing partners; the ART regimen; and adhering to it.
The PSA’s were designed to inform key populations and the general public in Guyana about:
