Save the Children improves the availability of quality reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH) services in Western Area Rural (WR) District in Sierra Leone by implementing Local Initiatives for Community Health (LINC-Health). This initiative targets 22 community health posts (CHPs) and maternal CHPs (MCHPs) in underserved parts of WR, with a comprehensive recovery investment in the capacity of health staff and their established community platforms to enhance safety and quality of health services.

GM-0039: Expanding Community-based Access to Injectable Contraception

Community Health Matters Focus Area:

Through a grant awarded under Advancing Partners & Communities (APC), Save the Children will advance their CBA2I programming by establishing a cost-efficient, sustainable learning site in Guinea. At the learning site, representatives from other communities within the country will learn best practices in the operation of a CBA2I programs that include CHW administration of injectables. The learning site will also allow representatives from other countries and NGOs to participate. The program, through additional collaboration with government officials, will facilitate further scale-up of CHW provision of injectables in Guinea.
